Natural Cat Scratch Deterrent

Image
Time and time again my essential oils amaze me. But using them to deter the cats from clawing our suede lounge takes the cake. W e have to chase them away from the lounge every day. We hear that dreaded clawing sound and run to chase them before they do permanent damage. I came across a recipe last week and tried it. It did make the cats stop and sniff around, but they still ended up clawing the lounge. I tried a new blend each day until I finally found this one that has stopped them clawing altogether. I put approximately 1 cup of water,  10 drops of doTERRA Eucalyptus Oil and 10 drops of doTERRA Lemon Oil in a spray bottle, shook it up and sprayed it on the corners of the lounge where the cats claw every day. The first day they came up and sniffed around, but then walked away. I haven't seen them near the lounge at all since then. This seemed too good to be true, but it's been 4 days and they still haven't been near the lounge. I'm going to spray it every ...

Frankincense Essential Oil - King of The Oils

When in doubt use Frankincense! Frankincense is known as the king of essential oils for a good reason. I take a drop of Frankincense under my tongue morning and night for overall health and managing stress. I also put a drop on my thumb and apply it to the roof of my mouth to relieve headaches and head tension. I dab it directly onto wrinkles as it hydrates my skin and improves the appearance. I use Frankincense in almost all of my blends because it's such an amazing oil, but also because it boosts the healing power of the other oils. Some other uses for Frankincense: You  can also add it to your daily moisturiser.  Frankincense works on a cellular level   It can be applied topically to rejuvenate skin Promotes cellular health Use on cuts and skin irritations Calming and relaxing Rub a drop into your nails and cuticles for healthy fingernails Natural way to boost your mood Use on age spots I am never without my Frankincense ...

What's in your beauty products?

Image
Have You Ever Thought About What's In Your Products? Did you know that if your beauty or hygiene products list the word 'fragrance' in the ingredients, that alone means it could contain hundreds of the 3000 chemicals and toxins used to make fragrances? By law, each ingredient must be listed individually. But fragrance ingredients can be listed simply as “Fragrance”. These are toxic to your nervous system. When your nervous system is damaged, your entire body, including your brain can be affected. Not to mention allergies. Fragrance allergies affect millions of people. I did a lot of reading and researching on chemicals and toxins a few years ago when I started getting a lot of new allergies. My immune system was low and I was overloaded with toxic build up. I started looking for alternatives. It was so hard to find pure and natural products that worked. So I tried making them. I made a lot of greasy and gluggy things and some that dried so hard I couldn...
