Essential Oils and Plastic

Image
I always advise people to use glass when putting essential oils in their water or storing them. Even diluted essential oils will eat away at plastic in some cases. Essential oils will break down most plastics. Some people will argue “if it does that to plastic, then imagine what it’s doing to us!” But we aren't made of plastic! The chemical reaction when we use essential oils in or on our bodies is not the same as when we combine it with a plastic. Essential oils are highly concentrated substances extracted from trees and plants. They are the lifeblood and immune systems of plants. Essential oils have structures similar to our hormones. Essential oils are carbon-based, like our bodies. So our bodies know how to use them. They work with our bodies to break down toxins and remove them from our bodies. Plastic is made up of toxic chemicals. So essential oils will naturally break it down. Citrus oils, in particular, have a chemical make-up that is known to interfe...

MY NEW OILS

Image
Exciting times! This month we are finally able to purchase the new essential oils released by doTERRA at their U.S. convention recently. At this stage they are only available through orders placed with their U.S. warehouse. I received mine last week and we all sat around the box sniffing, applying, oohing and ahhing. I have put together a bit of information on each new product, so make yourself a cuppa, sit back and have a read. COPAIBA OIL This is the oil that I was most excited to receive. Copaiba is doTERRA's alternative to cannabis. It is right up there with Frankincense for me now. I take two drops of both morning and night in a veggie capsule for overall physical and emotional health and I am already feeling the benefits. What doTERRA says about this wonderful oil - " Copaiba essential oil is so unique and effective because of its high level of beta-caryophyllene. Copaiba has the highest levels of beta-caryophyllene that we are aware of. Beta-ca...

COPAIBA ESSENTIAL OIL

Image
I was so excited to receive my first bottle of Copaiba Essential Oil, doTERRA's alternative to cannabis. I have done so much reading and studying and could not wait to start using it. Let me tell you a bit about this oil and why I love it sooooo much. First things first. Click on this link to listen to the correct way to pronounce Copaiba.   How to pronounce Copaiba . doTERRA's Copaiba is unique as it is a blend of four different species. Just as our Frankincense is a unique blend of three different species. It increases the therapeutic potential, increases potency and increases the diversity of that potency. It is very unique to doTERRA. I have been taking two drops each of Copaiba and Frankincense oil, morning and night in a veggie capsule because both are amazing and work on a cellular level. I haven't been taking it long but I have already noticed a huge difference in many areas of my health. I am also a lot less anxious, which I love.  ...

The Many Health Benefits of Solé

Image
Have you heard of SolĂ©? A lot of people haven't.  SolĂ© has many health benefits for all of us. Every cell in our body depends on the minerals we get from solĂ©. All of our bodily fluids contain salt. Amniotic fluid, our blood, lymphatic fluid, tears and more. Most of us are mineral deficient and a lot of us are at least slightly dehydrated. SolĂ© will prevent dehydration as your cells will absorb more water after they have all the right minerals. You can use any good quality salt, except table salt. It is toxic and will aggravate most ailments. I use Pink Himalayan Salt.  Known as “pink gold,” Himalayan crystal salt is actually a beautiful translucent pink and contains all of the 84 elements found in your body.   Watch this video to find out some of the benefits and also how I make it. When you drink the glass of water with 1 teaspoon of solĂ© each day you can add a drop of lemon, wild orange or grapefruit essential oil to the glass for added detox an...

What's in my Natural Medicine Cabinet?

This is what's in my medicine cabinet. They're all safe and they work. -Lemon - I take 2 drops in my drinking water every day to gently detox my body. Works well with Lavender and peppermint for allergies. -Peppermint - We rub on tired muscles, use to open airways, rub on back of neck to cool down, rub on the stomach to help digestion, helps control appetite. -Lavender - Lavender is calming for your mind and your skin. It works wonders on any skin irritations, relieves pain from sore gums and chapped lips. It also helps calm me down. I diffuse it to help sleep. -Oregano - Boosts our immune systems and fights off any bugs. I don't often use oregano as we very rarely catch bugs these days. But it is there if we need it. -Frankincense - Calming, good for skin, cellular health and gives other oils a boost. I also use a drop on my thumb applied to the roof of my mouth for head tension. -Tea Tree - Soothes skin irritations, good for nail health, removes permanent marker fr...
